The Farm

A Bit Better Farm moved to it's current Brookeville, Maryland location in late 2005. Much of the farm is historic, with the farm house being built in 1801. Being typical horse people, the ABBF family decided to renovate the barns first and then worry about the houses later! 

There are currently 21 stalls spread out between three barns. The main bank barn underwent major renovations, which you can see in the photos below.  The 72' x 150' indoor arena has new footing, and an outdoor arena is planned for the future. The horses rotate through several pastures spread out over 32 acres. By keeping the ABBF Herd to about 20 horses (plus Jimbo!), each horse is guaranteed individualized care and attention.

Now that the horses are happy in their new digs, the ABBF family has turned their attention to their own living quarters. The main farm house will be completely renovated into a house for Kelley, Danny, Jona and Tate, and an "in-law" suite will be added for Pat and Ray. A house for Kim, Boni and Tyler has been constructed across the driveway.  ABBF truly is a family affair!
